Yes something like that would work. I use it to remove offsets which are not uniform. E.g. the IF output of my HF radio does not have a flat noise floor and I could flatten it by removing a saved trace done with the antenna disconnected.
I though it could be added as extra options in the trace type combo – subtract trace x or add trace x, and then you need another combo to select ‘x’.
If you added another trace type called ‘constant’ then you can do trace 2 – trace 1 – offset, by linking the traces together.
